The Pack Out Inventory system is a key component of the DKC Contents Solution.
Most of us have large amounts of clothing, furniture, books and collectibles at home, or office technologies, documents, and supplies where we work. Imagine after the trauma of unexpected damage to the building, seeing all these very personal items being removed from your building. Where are they going, will I get them back, will they be further damaged or stolen? We understand the extra stress this causes at a time when you are already on edge and upset.
While some of these items will be beyond economic repair many though can be cleaned, repaired or restored and returned to you. We just need to get them out of all the water or smoke or falling debris so that they don’t become even more damaged. At the same time we want to track where these items are in our operations building. You may need to retrieve something during the restoration process, or your insurance adjuster may need to look at an item.
To help us quickly locate your item we need to inventory everything in such a way that we don’t delay the collection from your home or office or store, but can take you directly to the item should you call. To help us, we at Disaster Kleenup Canada use Assured Software’s, Pack Out Inventory (POI) system to manage and track contents during the loss and cleanup.
This process automates the cataloguing of items removed from your home or office building. Because we photograph and clearly document the condition of each item, we can ensure that only those items damaged as a result of the loss are included in the claim.
The system can also estimate a replacement vs. restoration value, helping the adjuster better assess the loss. Easy access to this catalogue allows adjusters to make more informed decisions. Because the process provides an electronic inventory, the adjuster can quickly and easily import it into his or her own computer application for fast analysis, thus saving the adjuster significant time. If the adjuster wishes, we can also provide a full inventory of all contents.
